A dear friend has passed away PATRICK RADCLIFFE

| Patrick James Radcliffe Whitesboro Patrick James Radcliffe, of Whitesboro, passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare. Left to celebrate his life and memory are his beloved wife of 30 years, Susan (Brandes) Radcliffe; his two cherished sons, Douglas and Alexander Radcliffe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gaylord and Alice Brandes; aunt, Beverly Sinnott; sister-in-law, Jean Radcliffe; nieces, Colleen and Audrey; nephews, David, Eric, Mac and Brady; brother-in-law, Brad Brandes; and dear friend, Frank Miller. Pat was born in Auburn, NY. He moved to Whitesboro with his family in 1967. His parents, Frederick Radcliffe and Ann (Jaworski) Radcliffe; his sister, Carol-Ann; and his brother, Mark, predeceased him. Pat was a true family man. No request or need was ever too great for him to try to fulfill. He and his wife, Susan, were the boy and girl next door and became childhood sweethearts from the start. Pat was dedicated to his family and enjoyed nothing more than playing a game with the boys when they were toddlers or taking his sons to their after school activities. As a young man, Pat was an aviation enthusiast. He pursued this passion, worked hard, obtained his pilots license, and went to work for the former Mohawk Airlines. Pat also worked for the General Electric Company before he was forced to retire due to illness. Pat was an active member of the American Legion Post #1113 in Whitesboro and was deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support from his fellow post members over the years. The family would like to thank Doctors OMalley and Razia for their kindness and compassion, Dr. Murphy for being there to help at the most difficult times, and a very special thank you to the staff of St. Lukes 6th Floor Oncology Unit for their excellent care, kindness, and an atmosphere of compassion, welcome and support. And to John thank you. There will be a memorial service on Saturday (today), 11:00 a.m., at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main Street, Whitesboro.
